This painting depicts the conversion of dacoit
Valmiki by Lord Vishnus’ devotee Narada.
He skillfully proved to Valmiki, that the family
he so dutifully supported by looting and
plundering innocent people, would not
share his sins.
This realization changed Valmiki to a wise and
learned man, who authored the Epic Ramanaya
a few years down the line.
